Partners
Main goals
In 2017, Moringa Partnership made an equity investment in the company to expand its processing capacities and reach profitable US and European markets. thus, Tolaro aims to improve its product quality while ensuring a sufficient and timely supply of Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN) from the smallholder farmers around the processing facilities.
The main objective of this capitalisation study is to evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of this subcontracting system with small producers.
Specific objectives
SO1. Identify the challenges and opportunities of the current outgrower scheme in comparison to past supplying models operated by Tolaro
SO2. Show how the current outgrower scheme has helped in reaching Tolaro’s supply objectives
SO3. Evaluate the economic, social, and environmental effect of the partnership on smallholder farmers, URCPA-AD and Tolaro
