Main goals
Improve the living conditions of the poor and vulnerable rural communities that harvest gum arabic, especially women, who play a major role in the friable gum arabic sector
Specific objectives
Train trainers among project leaders and producers groups through 6 modules aiming to build commercial management capacities, and gum quality and capitalization
Beneficiaries
28,000 poor small producers including about 20,000 women gum pickers living in extremely vulnerable arid zones (low rainfall)
