Main goals
The overall objective of the Sepop project, which is the subject of this evaluation, is to contribute to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and to improve the technical, financial and commercial capacities of family farms, through the strengthening of Farmers' Organizations and their sustainability.

Specific objectives
The main objectives of the accompanied self-evaluation are to provide agri-agencies, AFD and implementing partners with an overall assessment of project performance and formulate lessons and recommendations, and in particular:
SO1. Assess the results of the project and its impact on strengthening the technical and organizational capacities of POs, to understand the institutional and political environment, to influence public policies and to evaluate knowledge capitalization initiatives
SO2. Evaluate the functioning of the project with regard to its coordination and the processes of exchanges, monitoring-evaluation and capitalization between the agri-agencies involved
SO3. Evaluate the integration in the project of cross-cutting issues of gender, youth and climate change

Holder of a Master of Science, "Agricultural Engineer and territories development" from the Institut Supérieur d’Agriculture (ISARA Lyon), he brings his expertise in agro-food/agricultural sectors' analysis and development, strengthening of supplychain actors (producers, private/public actors, agro-food industries...), socio-economic analysis of agricultural chains and his great knowledge of companies in these markets
