VALBICUI - Technical support for the design of an energy recovery project for agricultural by-products in Côte d'Ivoire
Main goals
As part of the "low carbon" and "sustainable cocoa" Team Europe Initiative led by the Delegation of the European Union in Côte d'Ivoire, ENABEL is in charge of supporting and strengthening the recovery of organic waste issued from the agricultural products processing. ENABEL is therefore seeking to formulate a project on this, called VALBICUI, "Energy recovery of agricultural by-products". In order to support the formulation of this project, ENABEL wanted to call on Nitidæ to identify and prioritize the development initiatives with the most potential in Côte d'Ivoire
Specific objectives
SO1. Meetings, bibliography, field mission, interviews and data collection on the biomass waste sector in Ivorian industries (location, availability, logistics, heat capacity, cost...)
SO2. Analysis and drafting of a final report including recommendations for the project strategy to be designed
