Started a year ago, this in-depth study of the cashew processing sector in Mozambique, dissects its main issues and puts on the table concrete proposals and takes positions that go against mainstream political ideas.
It is carried out as part of the ACAMOZ project which aims to support the cashew nut value chain in Mozambique, funded by the Agence Française de Développement and implemented by Nitidæ for the Instituto de Fomento do Caju (INCAJU, IP) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADER).
See below AFD's video reports on the Gilé National Reserve in Mozambique
Note that a second study will complete the analysis of the challenges of the sector by focusing on the production of cashew nuts and challenges in the orchards of producers, particularly for the development of a certified cashew sector around the Gilé National Park.
