We are hiring a Finance Director in Lyon on a permanent contract !
Position mission
As the NGO's Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting the activity development while ensuring a rigorous monitoring of the financial data. You will work closely with a HR Director, an Administrative/HR Manager, a Management Controller, and an Accounting Management Assistant.
Guaranteeing that the administrative and financial services are properly structured and operational will be your main goal. This will be done through optimising the tools in place in order to ensure that the rules stated by the funding partners are respected. Moreover, you will be the technical point of contact for the 6 Finance Managers of the different countries of intervention, providing support and advices on the good financial practices to establish locally.
This position requires expertise in the financial management of a multi-country organisation and the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
Education and professional experience
- Higher education in business school or Master's degree in finance/audit or equivalent experience (required)
- 5-7 years experience at minimum, including at least 3 years in an NGO on financial positions at head office and/or locally (required)
- Experience in audit and/or internal control (required)
Skills and qualifications
- Autonomy, organisation, team spirit, flexibility, rigor (required)
- Knowledge of the rules of the main public donors (EuropeAid, FFEM-AFD.) (required)
- Good knowledge of accounting and of the accounting softwares operation (SAGA) (desirable)
- Legal and HR knowledge (a plus)
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and standard IT tools (Word, Power Point) (required)
- English at professional level - B2/C1 (required)
