TV Report Terre et Progrès of the FIRCA on the Agrovalor project for energy valorization of agro-industrial waste in Côte d'Ivoire

Ivory Coast's agricultural transformation (cashew, shea, cassava, etc.) is developing fast and is developping technologies to valorize agro-waste and reduce environmental impacts

The Agrovalor project in Ivory Coast it's:

  • 8 pyrolysis furnaces and other equipment for small cashew processors (valorization of cashew shells in charcoal, reduction of smokes)
  • 30 groups of attiéké equipped with improved stoves (50% saving of wood, return on investment of 3 months, 0 smokes)
  • 6 shea processing groups equipped with improved cookstoves and other improved machines (energy efficiency and facilitation of physical work)

This project is cofunded by the beneficiaries, AFD, RecycLivre and FIRCA
